Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how APISeeker handles personal information when you use our website, dashboard and APIs.
Last updated: 4 September 2026
1. Who we are
Controller: APISeeker — apiseeker.com. Contact: [email protected].
2. Data we collect
- Account data — name, email, password hashes, role (customer / provider / admin).
- Billing data — plan selection, invoice history, payment references from our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers on our servers).
- Usage data — API key identifiers, request timestamps, endpoint paths, status codes, approximate volume for metering and abuse detection.
- Support data — messages you send via inbox, tickets or email.
- Technical logs — IP address, user agent, device/browser metadata for security and diagnostics.
3. How we use data
- Provide and secure the marketplace, keys and gateway.
- Bill for plans and show usage in the dashboard.
- Respond to support and product requests.
- Detect fraud, abuse and policy violations.
- Improve documentation, reliability and product UX.
- Send important service notices (outages, security, billing).
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your location, we process data based on contract performance (providing the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (security, product improvement) and consent where required (optional marketing emails).
5. Sharing
We share personal data only when needed:
- Infrastructure and email providers that process data on our instructions.
- Payment processors for checkout and invoices.
- Law enforcement or regulators when legally required.
- Successors in a merger or acquisition, with notice where required.
We do not sell personal data.
6. Retention
We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, tax and dispute purposes. Usage logs are retained for a limited operational window (typically up to 90 days for detailed request logs, longer for aggregated billing metrics) unless a longer period is required for security investigations.
7. Security
See our Security page for practices such as TLS, hashed passwords and key handling. No method of transmission is 100% secure; report suspected incidents to [email protected].
8. Your choices
- Update profile details in the dashboard settings.
- Revoke API keys at any time.
- Request access, correction or deletion by emailing us (subject to legal holds).
- Unsubscribe from non-essential marketing emails via the link in those messages.
9. Children
The service is intended for adults and business users. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Significant changes may also be announced by email or dashboard notice.
